About the Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival (端午节, Duānwǔ Jié), celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, is one of China’s most traditional festivals with over 2,000 years of history. It honors the patriotic poet Qu Yuan and promotes cultural heritage through:

Zongzi (Sticky Rice Dumplings)–Families enjoy pyramid-shaped glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, with sweet or savory fillings.
