Rogers is well-known for producing high-quality circuit materials that meet the demands of today's high-reliability designs. Rogers 6002 is the first laminate with a low dielectric constant (Dk) that provides the mechanical and electrical properties required to construct microwave structures. RT/duroid 6002 PCB is reinforced with woven glass, which adds structural support by increasing the PTFE-to-glass ratio.

RT/duroid 6002 laminates are known to produce electrically stable and mechanically reliable microwave structures. These laminates were introduced in the late 1980s, and they changed the materials used by microwave engineers for circuit boards. Low thermal coefficient: Rogers 6002 has a very low thermal coefficient of Dk, which provides designers with the electrical balance required in today's applications.

Low Z-axis coefficient of thermal expansion: The CTE is very low, which contributes to the high reliability of PTH. Materials have been temperature cycled for over 5000 cycles, according to the Rogers 6002 datasheet, with no failures recorded.

Low tensile modulus: Because the tensile modulus (X, Y) is very low, the stress used to solder joints is reduced, allowing the laminate's expansion to be controlled by a small amount of CTE metal.

Rogers 6002 has exceptional dimensional stability, with a dimensional stability of about 0.5 mils per inch. The X and Y coefficients of expansion are linked to copper to achieve this. This eliminates the need for double etching and ensures tight positional tolerances.

Rogers 6002 has a dissipation factor of.0012 at 10GHz, which is considered very low. In a dissipative system, the dissipation factor measures the loss-rate energy of mechanical and electrical properties.

Flat and non-planar structures such as antennas, complex multi-layer circuits with inter-layer connections, and microwave circuits for aerospace designs in hostile environments are particularly suited to the unique properties of RT/duroid 6002 material.

The RT/duroid 6002 substrate has a low loss. Because of its excellent electrical and mechanical properties, it is an excellent choice for aerospace applications. It is especially well suited for multi-layer circuits with flat structures. Because of its low thermal expansion coefficient, it is also an excellent material for spacecraft. Furthermore, it is lead-free and works with the lead-free process.
